How To Get There

 By Car
There are two major routes from Chiangmai to Mae Hong Son, highway 1095 and 108.

  1. Highway 1095:
    • Natural scene along the way, you may stop to take a lot of green rice field photos,
    • Redundance with attracting places, guest house. I would  recommend one of the most interesting resort: Tha Pai Spa Camping which is highlighted with hot spring bath to your room.
    • More tourists choose this way to Pai District for rafting.
    • distance 285 kms.
    • 5 hours from Chiangmai to Mae Hong Son (City).
    • one of the key weakness is: a lot of sharp curves.
  2. Highway 108:
    • Natural scene
    • 380 kms for 7 hours
    • not many sharpe curves but more in number of curves
    • Weaknesses are bad road structure
